Loken’s Sawmill Inn was built in 2005 on the site of ‘Grandpa’s Sawmill.’
Bicycle enthusiasts will find the Root River State Trail at our back door. The Houston Nature Center is the beginning of the 42-mile trail. Enjoy spectacular scenery while biking, hiking, cross-country skiing, or in-line skating starting right here. For snowmobilers, there are many miles of groomed snowmobile trails. Fishermen will find bountiful trout streams nearby in our hills. We’re about twenty minutes away from the Mississippi River.
